Charles Ellicott Commentary 1 Kings 15:6

"Now there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life." — 1 Kings 15:6 (ASV)

And there was war. —In this verse (omitted in the Vatican manuscript of the Septuagint) the repetition of the notice of Rehoboam, in spite of some artificial explanations, seems inexplicable. Probably there is error in the text.
