Charles Ellicott Commentary 1 Peter 5:11

"To him [be] the dominion for ever and ever. Amen." — 1 Peter 5:11 (ASV)

To him be glory.—“The Apostle,” says Leighton, “having added prayer to his doctrine, adds here, you see, praise to his prayer.” This is the true consolation in trouble, to extol the power of God. If His is the dominion, and He has called us to His glory, then what can we fear?
