"Nay, my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: ye make Jehovah`s people to transgress." — 1 Samuel 2:24 (ASV)

You make the Lord’s people transgress. —The life led by the priests publicly in the sanctuary, with their evident scornful unbelief in the divinely established holy ordinances on the one hand, and their unblushing immorality on the other, corrupted the inner religious life of the whole people.
