SCRIPTURE

"Jehovah therefore be judge, and give sentence between me and thee, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me out of thy hand." — 1 Samuel 24:15 (ASV)

The Lord therefore be judge, and judge between me and thee, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me out of thine hand.

—Shall I lay these hands on the Lord’s Anointed? God forbid. No; I will not do it for a kingdom. Such wicked deeds I leave for wicked men to do.

God can and will in His own due time fulfill His own promise without my sin. I shall be content to wait for His timing, and remain in the sad condition I am now in, until it pleases Him to bring me out of it.— Bishop Sanderson, in Wordsworth.
