"And the priests and the Levites that were in all Israel resorted to him out of all their border." — 2 Chronicles 11:13 (ASV)

(c) THE PRIESTS AND LEVITES, AND ALL WHO ARE FAITHFUL TO THE LEGITIMATE WORSHIP, DESERT THE NORTHERN KINGDOM (2 Chronicles 11:13–17).

This section also is peculiar to the chronicler, though indirectly confirmed by the notices in 1 Kings 12:31; 1 Kings 13:33.

Resorted to him. — Presented themselves before him (Job 1:6; Job 2:1).

Coasts. — Border, domain. The term "Levites" is here used in the general sense as including the priests.
