"and next to him Jehozabad and with him a hundred and fourscore thousand ready prepared for war." — 2 Chronicles 17:18 (ASV)

Ready prepared for the war. — Equipped for service. (See 1 Chronicles 12:23–24; Numbers 31:5; Numbers 32:29.) The hoplites or heavy-armed infantry are probably meant.
