Charles Ellicott Commentary
"And now I have sent a skilful man, endued with understanding, of Huram my father`s," — 2 Chronicles 2:13 (ASV)
Endued with understanding. — See the same phrase in 1 Chronicles 12:32.
Of Huram my father’s. — Rather, Huram my father — i.e., master, preceptor, as in 2 Chronicles 4:16, where Huram is called the “father” of Solomon. (Judges 17:10; Judges 18:19. So Septuagint and Vulgate; Syriac omits.)
