"And Azariah the chief priest, and all the priests, looked upon him, and, behold, he was leprous in his forehead, and they thrust him out quickly from thence; yea, himself hasted also to go out, because Jehovah had smitten him." — 2 Chronicles 26:20 (ASV)
Looked upon him. — Turned towards him.
They thrust him out. — Hibhîl — scared, hurried him out. (Compare to Esther 6:14, they made haste.) Septuagint, κατέσπευσαν αὐτὸν ἐκεῖθεν.
Hasted. — Literally, thrust himself. The Hebrew is a late word occurring three times in Esther, and not elsewhere.
The Lord had smitten him. — 2 Kings 14:5.
