"And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered." — 2 Chronicles 31:21 (ASV)
Commandments. —Hebrew, commandment.
To seek his God. — In order to seek, or by way of seeking.
He did it with all his heart. —Compare the frequent phrase, with a perfect heart (1 Chronicles 28:9, and elsewhere); also and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, etc. (Deuteronomy 6:5).
