"Now therefore, O Jehovah, the God of Israel, let thy word be verified, which thou spakest unto thy servant David." — 2 Chronicles 6:17 (ASV)

To your servant David. —Hebrew, to your servant, to David. Kings, to your servant David my father. So Syriac here.
