"Of a truth, Jehovah, the kings of Assyria have laid waste the nations and their lands," — 2 Kings 19:17 (ASV)

Indeed. — It is just as Sennacherib boasts.

Destroyed. — Rather, laid waste. Perhaps put under the ban — the expression of 2 Kings 19:11 — should be read.

Their lands. — Hebrew, their land, referring to each conquered country.
