"Hast thou not heard how I have done it long ago, and formed it of ancient times? now have I brought it to pass, that it should be thine to lay waste fortified cities into ruinous heaps." — 2 Kings 19:25 (ASV)

Have you not heard ...? — Have you not heard? In the far past I made it; in days of old I fashioned it; now I have brought it to pass. The “it”—the thing long since foreordained by Jehovah—is defined by the words: that you should be to lay waste, etc. (Isaiah 46:10–11; Isaiah 10:5–15.)
