Charles Ellicott Commentary 2 Kings 22:17

"Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the work of their hands, therefore my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and it shall not be quenched." — 2 Kings 22:17 (ASV)

With all the works (work) of their hands. — With the idols they have made. See 1 Kings 16:7, where the same phrase occurs. (Psalms 115:4 and following).

Shall not be quenched. — Compare Jeremiah 4:4; Amos 5:6; Isaiah 1:31.
