"And he said, Call her. And when he had called her, she stood in the door." — 2 Kings 4:15 (ASV)

Call her. —The Shunammite is now summoned into the presence of the prophet himself.

She stood. —Or, took her stand. Modesty, or reverence for Elisha, prevented her from going farther.
