"but king Joram was returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If this be your mind, then let none escape and go forth out of the city, to go to tell it in Jezreel." — 2 Kings 9:15 (ASV)

If it is your will. —Literally, if it is your soul; some manuscripts, “if it is with your soul,” as in Genesis 23:8. The Vulgate paraphrases correctly, si vobis placet.

Let no one go out. —Literally, let not a fugitive go out. This proves that Ramoth was in the hands of the Israelite army. If they were besieging the city, as Josephus relates, Jehu’s command is unintelligible.
