Charles Ellicott Commentary Acts 2:11

"Cretans and Arabians, we hear them speaking in our tongues the mighty works of God." — Acts 2:11 (ASV)

The wonderful works of God.—Better, the great things, or the majesty, of God. The word is the same as in Luke 1:49. The word points, as has been said above, distinctly to words of praise and not of teaching.
