SCRIPTURE

"Wherefore I testify unto you this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men." — Acts 20:26 (ASV)

I am pure from the blood of all men.—The image was a familiar one in the Apostle's lips (Acts 18:6). It rested on the language of an older prophet (Ezekiel 3:18; Ezekiel 3:20). He had acted on the teaching of that prophet, and none could require the blood of any man at his hands.
