SCRIPTURE
"For thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land." — Amos 7:11 (ASV)
Die by the sword. So far as the words of the prophecy are concerned, it was not accurate to say that Amos had threatened Jeroboam with the sword.
