"Then he shall turn his face toward the fortresses of his own land; but he shall stumble and fall, and shall not be found." — Daniel 11:19 (ASV)
The fort.— The king of the north is forced to take refuge in his fortresses, and here meets with his end. This is interpreted as the death of Antiochus the Great at Elymais, where he had profaned a temple.
