SCRIPTURE

"And he said, Go thy way, Daniel; for the words are shut up and sealed till the time of the end." — Daniel 12:9 (ASV)

Go your way.— That is, be at peace. Observe that the matter is not explained to Daniel any further. He is assured that the end will most certainly come. Compare another gentle rebuke that was addressed to one who wished to see further than was fitting into the future (John 21:21–22).

Closed up and sealed.— To be explained as in Daniel 12:4. The book is to be carefully preserved until the end of time.
