Charles Ellicott Commentary

Charles Ellicott Commentary
"I make a decree, that in all the dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel; for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, And his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed; and his dominion shall be even unto the end." — Daniel 6:26 (ASV)
To the end.— The language of this decree is remarkably Scriptural. This is due, no doubt, to the share which Daniel had in its composition. By the “end” is meant the end of all the heathen kingdoms which shall arise on the earth, or, in other words, the setting up of the kingdom of the Messiah.
