"and the glede, and the falcon, and the kite after its kind," — Deuteronomy 14:13 (ASV)
The glede, and the kite, and the vulture. —In Leviticus 11:14, the vulture and the kite alone are named. The Hebrew words are in Leviticus dââh and ayyah. In this place they are rââh, ayyah, and dayyah. The close resemblance between the names is noticeable. For a description of the creatures, see list in Variorum Bible.
