SCRIPTURE

"but thou shalt surely open thy hand unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need [in that] which he wanteth." — Deuteronomy 15:8 (ASV)

You shall open your hand wide. — “Even many times.”

And shall surely lend. — “If he does not like to take it as a gift, grant it to him as a loan.”

Sufficient for his need. — “But it is not your duty to make him rich.”

In that which he wanteth. — “Even a horse to ride on, and a slave to run before him.”
