Charles Ellicott Commentary Deuteronomy 28:61

"Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will Jehovah bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed." — Deuteronomy 28:61 (ASV)

Every sickness and every plague (or “smiting; ” Hebrew, Makkah) which is not written. Well might the Apostle write, It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
