Charles Ellicott Commentary Ecclesiastes 11:10

"Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh; for youth and the dawn of life are vanity." — Ecclesiastes 11:10 (ASV)

Sorrow. —See Note on Ecclesiastes 7:3.

Youth. —The word does not occur elsewhere in the Old Testament; but nearly the same word is used of black hair in Leviticus 13:37; Song of Solomon 5:11.
