"And Jehovah said unto him, Go, get thee down; and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto Jehovah, lest he break forth upon them." — Exodus 19:24 (ASV)
Away, get thee down. —He with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning (James 1:17) overrules the objection of Moses, and persists. The warning is required, and is to be given. Moses, submissive as usual, yields, and goes down unto the people and speaks unto them. The result is that no attempt to break through the barrier is made.
