Charles Ellicott Commentary Ezekiel 13:11

"say unto them that daub it with untempered [mortar], that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it." — Ezekiel 13:11 (ASV)

Great hailstones. —Hail is unusual in Palestine, but its destructive effects were well known. The figure of this prophecy may be compared with the parable of Matthew 7:27.
