"And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw [good]." — Ezekiel 16:50 (ASV)

As I saw good. —The word good is not in the original, and should be omitted, and the particle translated when: Therefore I took them away when I saw this. Punishment followed upon the manifestation of their sin. .
