SCRIPTURE

"And I will save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the grain, and will multiply it, and lay no famine upon you." — Ezekiel 36:29 (ASV)

Your uncleannesses.— In Ezekiel 36:25 they had already been made clean, and in Ezekiel 36:26 a new heart had been given them; why, then, was there still further need of cleansing? This cannot, therefore, refer to the idolatries from which they had already been purged, but it is plain enough if understood as referring to the ordinary sinfulness of humanity, which, being continually renewed, needs continual forgiveness.
