SCRIPTURE

"Therefore will I also deal in wrath; mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity; and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them." — Ezekiel 8:18 (ASV)

Will I not hear them. —The time for prayer was past. They had rejected God. And when His wrath came upon them it was too late to turn to Him. (Matthew 7:22–23.) The possibility of sinning beyond the term of the day of grace is one of the most important lessons of this chapter.
