"But thou shalt go unto my father`s house, and to my kindred, and take a wife for my son." — Genesis 24:38 (ASV)

Kindred. —Not the word translated as such in Genesis 24:4, 7, but that rendered family in Genesis 8:19 (in the margin), 10:5, 12:3, etc. Strictly, it signifies a subdivision of a tribe (Numbers 1:18).
