"therefore Jehovah God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken." — Genesis 3:23 (ASV)

To till the ground. —This is the same word as that rendered “dress” in Genesis 2:15. Adam’s task is the same, but the conditions are altered.
