"To all of them he gave each man changes of raiment; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver, and five changes of raiment." — Genesis 45:22 (ASV)

Changes of clothing. —Gifts of clothing were marks of special favor in the East (Genesis 41:42). Joseph’s brothers would thus show by their very clothing how honorable their treatment had been.
