Charles Ellicott Commentary Genesis 46:12

"And the sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Perez, and Zerah; but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul." — Genesis 46:12 (ASV)

Judah has five sons. Er and Onan died early. The remaining are Shelah, Pharez, and Zerah.

Numbers 26:20: Pharez, Hezron, Carmi, Hur, Shobal.

1 Chronicles 2:4: Pherez, Hezron, and others; Shelah is also included elsewhere. Spelling varies (Pherez vs. Pharez, Zerah vs. Zarah).
