Charles Ellicott Commentary Hebrews 1:12

"And as a mantle shalt thou roll them up, As a garment, and they shall be changed: But thou art the same, And thy years shall not fail." — Hebrews 1:12 (ASV)

And as a vesture . . .—Rather , And as a mantle you will roll them up; as a garment they will also be changed. The course of thought is easily traced: as the garment which has grown old is rolled up and changed, so the former heavens and earth will give place to the new heavens and the new earth.
