"For they that say such things make it manifest that they are seeking after a country of their own." — Hebrews 11:14 (ASV)

Such things.—I am a stranger and a sojourner with you (Genesis 23:4). The days of the years of my pilgrimage... the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage (Genesis 47:9).

Declare plainly that they seek a country.—Rather, make it plain that they are seeking a home, or fatherland.
