"And if indeed they had been mindful of that [country] from which they went out, they would have had opportunity to return." — Hebrews 11:15 (ASV)

They might have had.—Rather, they would have had opportunity to return. All their life long they would have been able to claim again their earlier fatherland, by returning from where they came.
