"As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird: there shall be no birth, and none with child, and no conception." — Hosea 9:11 (ASV)

From the birth ...—Or rather, so that there shall be no childbirth, nor pregnancy, nor conception—an ascending climax. Progeny was the glory of ancient Israel (Genesis 22:17; Deuteronomy 7:13–14; Psalms 127:5; Proverbs 17:6).
