Charles Ellicott Commentary Isaiah 13:15

"Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is taken shall fall by the sword." — Isaiah 13:15 (ASV)

Every one that is joined unto them. —Better, every one that is caught. The first clause of the verse refers to those that are in the city at the time of its capture, the second to those who are taken as they endeavor to escape.
