Charles Ellicott Commentary Jeremiah 5:20

"Declare ye this in the house of Jacob, and publish it in Judah, saying," — Jeremiah 5:20 (ASV)

Declare — publish. These words indicate, as in Jeremiah 4:5; Jeremiah 4:16, the beginning of a fresh section of the prophecy, though no definitely new topic is introduced. The command is given by Jehovah, not to the prophet only, but to his disciples.
