Charles Ellicott Commentary Jeremiah 51:45

"My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and save yourselves every man from the fierce anger of Jehovah." — Jeremiah 51:45 (ASV)

Go you out of the midst of her ... —The prophet repeats, with all the emphasis of iteration, the summons of Jeremiah 50:8; Jeremiah 51:6. The “fierce anger of the Lord” is that which was directed primarily against Babylon, but which would also fall on those who chose to remain and become “partakers in her plagues.” (Compare Revelation 18:4.)
