Charles Ellicott Commentary Job 24:19

"Drought and heat consume the snow waters: [So doth] Sheol [those that] have sinned." — Job 24:19 (ASV)

So does the grave those who have sinned. —Job had already spoken of the sudden death of the wicked as a blessing (Job 9:23; Job 21:13), as compared with the lingering torture he himself was called upon to undergo.
