SCRIPTURE

"Thou liftest me up to the wind, thou causest me to ride [upon it]; And thou dissolvest me in the storm." — Job 30:22 (ASV)

Thou liftest me up to the wind. —Some render this verse, “Thou liftest me up to the wind, and causest me to ride upon it; Thou dissolvest me in thy blast;” others understand him to express the contrast between his former prosperous state and his present low condition: “You used to raise me and make me ride upon the wind, and now You dissolve my substance, my very being.” (Compare to Psalms 102:10: Thou hast lifted me up and cast me down.)
