"And after this Job lived a hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons` sons, [even] four generations." — Job 42:16 (ASV)
A hundred and forty years. —The particularity of this detail forbids us to suppose that Job was not a real person; his great age also shows that he must be assigned to the very early patriarchal times, probably before Moses.
