"For now ye are nothing; Ye see a terror, and are afraid." — Job 6:21 (ASV)

For now you are nothing. — "Surely now you have become like it," that is, that ravine; or, according to another reading followed in the text of the Authorised Version, "You have become nothing: you have seen an object of terror, and are terrified: you have seen my broken-down condition, and are dismayed at it."
