Charles Ellicott Commentary Joel 2:25

"And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the canker-worm, and the caterpillar, and the palmer-worm, my great army which I sent among you." — Joel 2:25 (ASV)

I will restore to you the years— that is, the years which would have been necessary in the ordinary course of nature for the land to recover from the ravages of the “great army.”
