"Jesus therefore six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus raised from the dead." — John 12:1 (ASV)

Then Jesus six days before the Passover came to Bethany.—The whole question of the arrangement of days during this last great week depends upon the conclusion that we adopt regarding the day on which our Lord was crucified.
