SCRIPTURE

"He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my sayings, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I spake, the same shall judge him in the last day." — John 12:48 (ASV)

He that rejecteth me . . .—The word rendered “rejecteth” (more exactly nullifies) occurs only here in John. (Compare to Luke 7:30, “The Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves”; and John 10:16, “He that despiseth you despiseth Me.”)

Hath one that judgeth him.—Compare to John 3:18; John 5:45 and following; John 8:50; and also Hebrews 4:12.

The word that I have spoken.—The very fact that He was so rejected was itself the judgment of those who rejected it.
