"For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed." — John 6:55 (ASV)

For my flesh is meat indeed.—Better, for My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink. This verse further explains that he who eats the flesh and drinks the blood has eternal life, for he has the true elements of life. It is an answer, too, to the question. How can this Man give us His flesh to eat? (John 6:52).
