"And Ephraim drove not out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwelt in Gezer among them." — Judges 1:29 (ASV)

Neither did Ephraim. —See Joshua 16:10. Gezer.—This town was not won from the Canaanites until its capture by Pharaoh, who gave it as a present to his daughter, the wife of Solomon (1 Kings 9:16).
